THE FOUNDATION

The Jesus Divino Preso Foundation was founded as an answer to the devastating plight of inmates and their children, the 24th of February of the year 2000 (state accord #0033), and is managed by dedicated volunteers.

Due to the permanent crisis of the penitentiary system in Ecuador, related to the lack of clear and appropriate rules for the handling of prisoners children, and due to the serious physical and moral consequences the children suffer inside of jails in the country, the Foundation Jesús Divino Preso is a good oportunity for all those children who are in such difficult conditions.

Aunts and children sharing together

The Foundation Project for Childrens Protection "FUJEDIPRE" was created to rescue as many children as possible from the Ecuadorian prisons. We invite them to live in a temporary home while their parents complete their sentences.

This project will continue while children are still forced to live inside Ecuadorian prisons. We will continue working while we have support from public and private institutions.
